I'm Mike, an integrative and relational counsellor.
What Brings you to Counselling?
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, experiencing low mood or difficult emotions. Perhaps you're struggling with anger, relationships, self-esteem, or finding life harder to manage than it used to be. You may also be experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide and finding these difficult to make sense of on your own.
Whatever has brought you here, counselling can offer a space to slow things down, understand what you're experiencing and explore what might help. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
How I work
I offer a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what's going on for you. I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches, which we can tailor to your needs, so that the work feels helpful for you as an individual.
We can work at a comfortable pace which is set by you, exploring your experiences together rather than trying to fit you into a particular way of working.
If you're considering counselling, I offer a free 20-minute telephone call before your first session.
This gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what has brought you to counselling, answer any initial questions you might have and see whether we might be a good fit.
If we decide to work together, sessions last 50 minutes and can be arranged at a time that works for you.
